Sustainable business marketing

Product Waste Management Project

Welcome to e-commerce marketing project. This website is introducing about  wastage or loss product in Finland. Commercially, financial management applies wastage or loss percent price for every sales product. Wastage or loss percentage is a cost which there is no financial return for it. For example, when a product is spoiled, broken, over qualified consuming date,  theft loss, or storage cycle of excessive unsold product. Therefore, it is included in sales price accounting. These products includes food, beverage, cosmetics,  hygiene supplies,  households, and even furnitures. Shortly, these products are categorized as spilled products, same as foodspill, food loss, food waste, loss product, and etc. In Finnish language it is commonly recognized as "hävikkiruoka" or "hävikkituotteet".

In Finland, awareness of commercial wastage has been growing significantly. Large store chain as supermarkets usually put discount on wastage products known as “red tag” or “red sticker”  which is 30% discount to push sales faster before time to put those products off market. There are some companies which specially sell products which generated from wastage percentage. One of it Fiksuruoka Oy. This company is established in 2016 which its prime objective is to reduce wastage products.

Among it’s rapid marketing program, Fiksuruoka apply affiliate marketing. Fiksuruoka gives new customers 5€ discount if they use referral links from one other  customer who already registered. For example,  the 5€ discount can be achieved from this link: prz.io/4GqO6YfP.  This link gives new customer 5€ free if they order at least 30€. This means, total payment will be only 25€, not yet included delivery charge which starts from 2,9€ to 7,9€ depends on the order’s weight. As a reward, earlier customers who gets their link used, will get points which can be accumulated. At certain points, points can be used to get Fiksuruoka Oy’s products for discount.

Remember, if you want to get the discount, you need to save the link to get the code. It is because the code will be changed in certain limited time, while you may not want to buy on the same day when you get the code. The important thing is, that you have the valid code to get the discount .

Even though order’s should be at least 20€, there will be free delivery charge, if customer buys at least 35€ orders. The limit order is due to storage keeping and shipping cost. This issue can be wisely resolved for customers who can manage orders from several of people, for example among friends and families. They can put together all orders from several persons, then only manage one order from one account to get less limit order charge.

Unfortunately, Fiksuruoka’s website now only use Finnish language. They should also consider foreigners who are happened to live in Finland, for example students or foreign spouses and children who would like to contributes in saving environmental sustainability as also financial spending consideration.
